The Programme has been developed in line with the international requirements and levels of proficiency that have been established by the IFPSM (International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management). This means that meeting the requirements of the CISilf® Programme will qualify you to be awarded the international Certificate of Competence in Purchasing.

In order to become certified, you will need to pass written examinations in the various sub-courses of the Programme.

Teachers and lecturers are both academically active and line managers from trade and industry.

A comprehensive programme

The CISilf® Programme is a comprehensive certification programme in purchasing. During the five terms of the course, you will study everything from purchasing techniques and business economics to law, logistics and business negotiation.

The first term of the CISilf® Programme is devoted to the introductory course entitled Fundamentals of Purchasing, which will qualify you to receive a formal Purchasing Licence. You can decide after you have taken this basic course if you want to continue with the whole programme.

As a conclusion to the certification programme you will be expected to perform an intensive project assignment. During the course of this project work you will be given the opportunity to make practical use of all the theories, methods and tools that have been presented to you during your five terms of training. In conjunction with the certification ceremony, which marks the conclusion of the Programme, a presentation will be made of some of the project assignments.

Strengthen your professional network
The CISilf® Programme will also give you greater opportunities to strengthen and build up your professional network. Throughout the entire Programme you will have the chance to exchange personal experience as well as to associate and co-operate with other course participants and teachers.

Adapt the Programme to suit your own requirements
Since the CISilf® Programme is largely based on active participation in combination with practical exercises and the exchange of experience, we prescribe general compulsory attendance. But if you already have a certain level of proficiency – as a result of academic studies or practical experience – which matches the Programme content, you can after individual assessment take an examination that covers the content of the course(s) in question.

Who is the course for?
The CISilf® Programme is addressed to those individuals who are concerned with advanced purchasing matters, sales and project management, or who have a substantial responsibility for costs. You probably work as a purchasing manager, strategic purchaser, purchaser, product manager, operations manager, project manager, sales or marketing manager.
