Topic: Sustainable Supply Chain design
Supply chains are instrumental to implementing sustainability
strategies. How a supply chain is configured, or designed, has
considerable implications for the natural environment, e.g.
production and transportation emissions, questions of product
design and material use. Less researched but no less important
are the social implications of supply chain design, which range
from questions of health and safety issues, child labour, to
community development.
